In order to receive MFL Speech sanctioning, a speech tournament must offer all 15 MFL categories plus Student Congress, unless given specific approvals by the MFL Board.  Other speech categories will not qualify students for States.  To receive Debate sanctioning, a tournament must offer at least one of Novice or Varsity LD, Novice or Varsity Policy, or Public Forum Debate.  Fall debate tournaments should also offer JV LD.  Other debate division levels may qualify students for States, however, you must have the Board's prior approval.  Consult the MFL Bylaws and Rules and Procedures on the website for additional information.
